Ward (Him). Inspired by seminal seasonal albums by the likes of The Carpenters, Vince Guaraldi, The Beach Boys, Elvis Presley and more, She & Him have set out to create an intimate recording of Christmas classics that help bring new emotions out of old songs. Cuatro años han pasado desde que este dúo francés reventase las pistas de baile con su disco debut †, colocandolos casi a la altura de sus compatriotas Daft Punk. 

Audio, Video, Disco se llama su nuevo material y en el encontramos a unos nuevos Justice más centrados en la experimentación y creación de melodías, el cuál definen como  "un disco de rock progresivo, tocado por unos tipos que no saben cómo tocar", y en el cual sus influencias más rockeras se vuelven omnipresentes casi en cada tema.

BOY - Mutual Friends

Boy es en realidad un duo formado no por varones, sino por las alemanas Valeska Steiner y Sonja Glass; de quienes llega este primer álbum que nos recuerda porque nos gusta el buen pop con toques indie cuando se hace así.


Con letras anecdóticas y cotidianas, buenas melodías, canciones impecables en las vocales y mucha personalidad que a momentos suena a una mezcla de Feist, Phoenix y Bon Iver.


Las dos integrantes tocan todos los instrumentos de Mutual Friends a excepción de las percusiones. El resultado: un disco sencillo y sin pretensiones, que nos muestra a dos músicos con buen humor que demuestran que la música pop no es el enemigo.

Girls - Father, Son, Holy Ghost [2011]

Por fin se leakeó el esperadísima segundo LP de esta genial banda de San Francisco, que nos dio en 2009 uno de los mejores discos del año, además de un buen EP en 2010.

Father, Son, Holy Ghost  resulta ser otro gran disco, con momentos frescos y exuberantes y otros tristes y devastadores, que en general nos deja la sensación de estar escuchando a un grupo más maduro.

CSS - La Liberación [2011]

Es genial que varias de las bandas que veremos en Octubre en el Corona Capital estén lanzando sus nuevos LP antes del festival. Otro caso es los energéticos brasileños Cansei de Ser Sexy, quienes nos hicieron bailar hasta el cansancio con su homónimo debut, pero que nos aburrieron un poco con su segundo material.

Esperamos que para Lovefoxx y compañía  la inspiración este de regreso para este tercer álbum titulado apropiadamente “La Liberación”
